Universally known as one of the most magical places on earth, Walt Disney World lures more than 20 million visitors each year, many travelings from around the globe to experience the fairytale for themselves. Which is why it should come as no surprise that the amusement park is almost always crowded.

According to UnderCoverTourist.com, there are a few times throughout the year that are a little less costly and much less crowded than others:
Lowest Crowds
- February 1st to 15th; Feb. 22nd to March 1st
- The last two weeks of August (with the exception of August 31st because of Labor Day weekend)
- Most of September (except for Labor Day Weekend)
- Weekdays in the first two weeks of November
- Weekdays in the first two weeks of December
The park has exciting events that run throughout the year, which you can take advantage of during quieter periods, such as the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival or the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Keep in mind that even though the park is very busy during certain holidays such as Halloween, the seasonal festivals run for an extended time. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins on August 16 and runs until November 1st so you have plenty of time to celebrate with you're favorite characters!

Crowds can get pretty busy, though, especially during holidays and summer months when more people have time to travel. It's also important to consider the hours of the park throughout the year, because while it's smart to go on days when the park is least busy, it's also open for fewer hours on these days. Here are a few dates to steer clear of the theme park if you're looking to make the most of your visit.
Highest Crowds
- Valentine's Day
- President's Day weekend (Feb. 15-20)
- March 9th to April 28th (Spring Break and Easter weekend)
- Weekends in May (especially Memorial Day weekend)
- The month of June
- The month of July (especially the 4th of July weekend)
- The beginning of August (Aug. 1-12)
- Labor Day weekend
- September 27th to 29th
- Most weekends in October (especially Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend October 31st to November 3rd)
- Halloween
- Every weekend in November
- November 20th- December 1st (Thanksgiving Break)
- Every weekend in December
- December 18th, 2019 to January 6th, 2020 (Winter Break)
Considering school and holiday schedules, the volume of visitors at Disney World makes perfect sense, but if you're traveling during these times with your children there is no need to worry– Disney offers fast passes to reserve access to specific attractions that you choose before you arrive!
